let's talk→
Statuario is the most noble of white marbles, quarried in the Carrara region of the Italian Apuan Alps for over 2000 years. Michelangelo carved David from this stone, and Bernini sculpted figures in the Vatican from it. The highest grade of whiteness, classified as statuario classico, is used exclusively for the most prestigious projects — from Italian Renaissance palaces to contemporary luxury residences. Extraction is mechanised with diamond wires, but the final selection of blocks is carried out by hand by experienced masters.
